Teams won’t open? Here’s how to fix WebView2

Teams won’t start because you need WebView2?

Follow these steps:

  1. Open Registry Editor

    • Press Windows key + R, type regedit, and press Enter.

  2. Navigate to the following registry path:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\Clients\

  3. Find and delete the folder

    • Under the Clients folder, locate and delete the folder with the name:

      F3017226-FE2A-4295-8BDF-00C3A9A7E4C5

  4. Reinstall WebView2

    • After deleting the above registry folder, run the WebView2 installer again to reinstall WebView2.
